Commonwealth Toys are SO SO Happy
Art
Impressions, owner of the proprietary lifestyle brand SO SO Happy, has
licensed Commonwealth Toys to produce a complete line of plush toys
The line will include ‘beanies’, plush backpacks, and related
products featuring the brand’s quirky cast of friendly monsters, robots
and other oddball characters.
“We are thrilled to have been granted the rights to produce SO SO Happy
products,” says Steven Greenfield of Commonwealth. “This brand has
tremendous appeal to a broad base of consumers and retailers. It is not
often we see a brand that has all of the elements needed to become an
evergreen property- this one has it all.”
The companies’ first collaborative series will roll out nationwide in
May at specialty chains, boutiques, department stores, and a major
nationwide toy retailer. Plans are in place for multiple additional
series which will delve deeper into SO SO Happy’s treasure trove of over
200 characters, each with their own clever back-story: characters such
as Tribe, who has the world’s only known case of Reverse Tourette’s,
causing him to shout out random compliments.
“We are incredibly excited about the opportunity to work with
Commonwealth Toys!” says Cindy Bailey of Art Impressions. “With their
roster of respected brands and their team’s extraordinary capabilities
across the board, we are sure to bring the SO SO Happy toy program to a
new level in 2012 while delivering the quality and uniqueness people
have come to expect from both of our companies.”
The SO SO Happy brand was inspired by founder Cindy Bailey’s own life
experience with her eldest son - who was bullied throughout his school
years - and an awareness of the alarming uptick in tragedies involving
other teens who have been bullied by their peers.
