Bologna Licensing Trade Fair 2011
Jackie Ferguson will be the opening speaker of the 2011 Fair programme.
Bologna Licensing Trade Fair has announced that on March 28th, at 11 am, Jackie Ferguson, international licensing manager, Licensed Consumer Products, BBC Worldwide, will open the programme of events planned at the show. It is a unique opportunity to meet a key player from the leading European broadcaster and discuss the market strategies in broadcasting and in management of licences, from Teletubbies to Doctor Who. The event is organised in co-operation with the international licensing association, LIMA.
The Educational Programme will be offering many more events along the three days, which include:
- A focus on the French market
- The contribution of another key note speaker, Steve Manners, executive VP and director of entertainment, CPLG UK
- An event about distribution, organised in collaboration with Largo Consumo with the participation of representative of several companies covering the whole sector (licensors, producers and distributors)
- A focus on the Spanish market
- An exclusive presentation by Fox Channels Italy of their licensing programme
- Four workshops, organised in collaboration with Licensing Italia, focussing on legal issues, research, luxury "made in Italy" and style guide creation.
