Bulldog Secures Deal For LIFE Apparel
Bulldog Licensing has announced details of a new agreement that will see top apparel firm Poetic Gem produce a range of products featuring classic images from the LIFE photographic library.
The LIFE photographic library holds a vast stock of images, many of which were made famous by the renowned LIFE magazine, and includes some of the world’s most recognisable photographs. These include historical images dating back to the Crimean war, photographs of legends such as the Kennedys and Winston Churchill, world-famous landmarks like the Empire State Building, and incredible pictures of the world around us - ranging from shots taken in outer space to nature. In total, around 10 million pictures are available to license.
The new deal will see Poetic Gem developing a full range of apparel that will feature iconic covers and pictures taken from this massive library of photographic classics, as well as the instantly recognisable LIFE logo.
Bulldog is also looking to extend the property over a wide range of other categories and has received strong interest from potential partners across sectors such as accessories, stationery, greetings and gifts.
“We are delighted to be launching the LIFE licensing programme through Poetic Gem, as the brand lends itself perfectly to apparel,” says Bulldog MD Rob Corney. “However, it certainly won’t stop there – the property has absolutely huge potential and this promises to be just the start of a wide and varied programme.”
