Geronimo Stilton Books and Website 

Milan-based Atlantyca Entertainment has signed Japanese publishing giant, Kodansha Ltd., to a five-year deal for the release of the Geronimo Stilton Funny Tales book series throughout Japan and has also announced the launch of www.geronimoStilton.com in partnership with Italian publisher, Edizioni Piemme.

Kodansha Ltd., one of the world’s largest publishers of books, magazines and manga, with a legacy that spans more than a century, will release the first title in the series in June 2011 through its Kodansha Children’s Books division.

The deal was brokered by Atlantyca’s Japan Area Manager, Rosamaria Pavan, and Kodansha - Children Book Division editor, Yuri Tawara.

GeronimoStilton.com was created to offer children the opportunity to enter Geronimo Stilton’s world and become a member of his community of mice in order to further enhance the Geronimo Stilton experience for his millions of fans. Every child who visits the portal can build a mouse-avatar and get a street-view experience as they travel through Mouse City, interacting with other Geronimo Stilton friends from around the world. They can even write and post articles in their own customised version of Mouse City’s local newspaper, Mouse Gazette.
 
The initial launch will be introduced in 7 languages to include: English American, Italian, French, Dutch, Flemish, Catalan, Chinese with the support of Geronimo’s publishers: Scholastic, Edizioni Piemme, Albin Michel, Baeckens Book, De Wakkere Muis, Grup 62 and 21 Century Publishing House.
