Nickelodeon teen slate set for Ukraine launch
Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), a division of Viacom Inc., has announced an exclusive content deal with leading terrestrial broadcaster, NEW Channel.
The deal enables Viacom to broadcast more than 200 episodes of Nickelodeon’s tween and teen-oriented live-action programming in the Ukraine for the first time.
Nickelodeon’s critically acclaimed live-action programmes, iCarly, True Jackson, The Troop and Drake & Josh will make their terrestrial TV debut on NEW Channel, and will be localised for the Ukrainian market. The deal was brokered on behalf of VIMN by Maria Rakhmatullina-Ufland, sales director, Emerging Markets.

The deal with VIMN provides NEW Channel, an all-family entertainment channel, with an extensive range of high quality Nickelodeon programming. The broadcaster aims to appeal to both teen audiences and its core audience of 25-35 year-old women with families who want to watch programming with their kids in a safe environment.
