Rainbow invests in Huntik

In a bid to bring Huntik to the same level of success as it’s female counterpart, Winx Club, Rainbow is investing $10 million USD in the second season of the massive boys property.

Additionally, Rainbow has inked a multi-territory master toy deal with industry leader Giochi Preziosi, putting in place a key license to ensure the property’s success.

The toy deal covers Europe (including the United Kingdom) and Russia for action figures, role play and play sets.

In Italy, where series two debuts this fall, Giochi Preziosi will distribute several merchandise ranges such as back to school and gifts.

The roll out of the toys will coincide with the launch of 26 brand new Huntik episodes in 2011 (for a total of 52 episodes), and will be accompanied by massive investment and promotion by Giochi Preziosi as well as Rainbow.

A completely unique level of marketing and cross-promotion will also be provided by the many Huntik -themed attractions at the upcoming Rainbow Magicland Theme Park, including the first 4D attraction in Europe, “Dark Ride”.

Rainbow now own 100% of the rights to the property (including the UK and US), and with a dedicated budget for the new series, and a proven international toy partner, the company is completely committed to ensuring the success of the Huntik brand.
