Animaru range refined

Animaru, winners of the ‘License This’ award at Brand Licensing 2010 have been using the last six months to refine the animaru range, creating further character and themed ranges for Christmas 2011.

Having distributed the cards themselves since inception in 2007 and with sales in excess of 10,000 cards per year, the Norfolk based company is now seeking a card company that can broaden their reach.

Rupert Waters, the company’s newly appointed licensing agent, is currently in discussions with a handful who are interested in the quirky, Japanese inspired animal characters.

The Christmas themed range features reindeers, robins, polar bears and penquins, as appealing to adults as they are to children of all ages.

Animaru is also in discussions with publishers about a series of books for children aged 5-9 years and with collectable companies about trading cards. A consumer facing website will be launching for Summer 2011 along with an online style guide for the trade.

Noel Hinton, the company’s M.D. commented: "Winning the ‘License This’ award panel has inspired us to polish and extend the animaru character base and to redevelop our web presence. Animaru.co.uk will be focussed on improving the visibility and perception of the animaru brand whilst also providing assets and support to potential licencees."
