eOne kickstarts US licensing division with new appointment
Entertainment One (eOne) have announced the appointment of Jennifer Bennett as the VP of licensing and merchandise for North America.
The appointment will create a US base to drive eOne’s licensing strategy for Peppa Pig in America, following the successful broadcast launch of the show this year on Nick Jr. in the US, as well as spearheading North American licensing programmes for other eOne properties from the TV, Film and Music divisions.
Based in eOne’s Los Angeles office, Bennett will be responsible for managing and implementing the North American licensing programme for Peppa Pig to create long term growth opportunities. This will involve developing strong and effective relationships with key partners including domestic and global licensees, retailers, promotional partners and broadcasters across the territory to maximise commercial opportunities.
Previously Executive VP of Licensing and Brand Development for CCI Entertainment and VP of Merchandising and Licensing at Alliance Atlantis, Bennett has a proven track record of building successful licensing programmes, working with major American licensees and retailers and developing promotions that have significantly increased revenue.
Reporting to Andrew Carley, head of licensing, in her new role Bennett will be responsible for managing business plans, budgets and revenue goals that will be integrated into eOne’s wider business objectives for both Peppa Pig and other eOne brands and properties.
Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Carley says: “We’re delighted to welcome Jennifer on board. She brings fifteen years of brand management experience and valuable relationships with licensees and retailers across the States that will be crucial to the North American expansion of both Peppa Pig and eOne’s other properties. Having a dedicated person on the ground is integral to our plans to establish eOne as a major player in North America.”
