Zodiak signs GUT for back-to-school range
Zodiak Active Kids– and GUT Edizioni’s BIG BANG have hooked up for Zodiak’ tween property The Qpiz in a deal brokered by Teamworks – sole licensing and merchandising agent for the series in Italy.
GUT, which owns the Smemoranda brand among others, will launch a complete line of backpacks, school bags, diaries, paper products and many other accessories dedicated to the Qpiz for the 2012 back-to-school season.
The Qpiz is the cross-platform property for tweens and teens developed by Zodiak Active Kids and co-produced with RaiGulp. The property includes a TV series, a social game

Gut Edizioni owner, Rodolfo Rezzoli, praised the deal saying: “The Qpiz multimedia project is very near to Gut Edizioni strategies and values. We think that the brand it’s very engaging and absolutely new in comparison with many others on the market”.
The Qpiz is a built-for-girl world featuring three super heroines: Hearty, Liebe and Lovelyn who come from an unknown planet to spread love on Earth and despite being carried away by emotions and getting into embarrassing situations, the Qpiz will continue to search for love in any boy they meet!
- The TV series (52 eps x 3’) is among the top 5 most-watched programs by tweens and teens on Rai Gulp (source: Auditel).
- The Social game has reached over 420,000 monthly active users (source: Facebook Insights/Appdata).
- The Website has over 20,000 unique visitors per day, and more than 1,500,000 page views per month (source: Google Analytics/Facebook Insight).
