Toys 'n' Playthings and LTW editor speaks to London paper
Our editor of both Toys 'n' Playthings and LTW speaks to Metro about the relentless force that is Lego
Ross McGuiness' report in the Metro focused on why Lego is such a
big hit with both adults and children. Its continuous popularity is ever
increasing and now Lego has been given the greenlight by Warner Bros
for a 2014 feature film.
Ross caught up with Toys 'n' Playthings Editor Mirella Cestaro, to find out her views on the film.
"The reality is that Lego are there to sell a lot of products, sell a
lot of units, make a lot of money, so I’m absolutely positive that
they’ll be shifting a lot of products on the back of it,’ she said.
"They wouldn’t do it unless they could make a hell of a lot of money out
of it, would they? They have been one of the very few toy companies
that have been very versatile. They’ve understood very quickly the power
of video games.
"It’s quite simple as a product and it’s actually about unleashing your imagination," she adds.
