Brigid Nelson joins HarperCollins Children’s Books as Divisional Sales
Director after ten years at Penguin, most recently as Children’s Product
Director with responsibility for the Puffin, Ladybird, Sunbird, BBC
Children’s and Frederick Warne imprints
Oliver Wright, Group Sales Director, HarperCollins, says: ‘We are absolutely delighted to have Brigid joining our team. We couldn’t have wished for a better candidate to fill this role. She will bring a wealth of experience to our list as well as her passion to work with our fantastic authors and build on the success of our number one bestsellers this autumn, such as Derek Landy and David Walliams.’
Brigid Nelson says: “I've had such a fantastic ten years at Penguin with the books and the people but now seems a perfect time to bow out and move on. I always loved the HarperCollins Children’s list when I was a bookseller and I was so struck by the energy and excitement for the future amongst the HarperCollins team that I had to grab this chance. The children's market is such an opportunity for all of us and I’m very much looking forward to the ten years ahead.’
Brigid will report to Oliver Wright and will take up her post in the New Year.
