Paul Frank goes 7-Eleven
Saban Brands secures Paul Frank promotion with 7-Eleven convenience stores throughout Hong Kong
Fresh on the heels of opening its flagship Paul Frank stores in China,
Saban Brands has secured a special promotion agreement for the Paul
Frank brand with 7-Eleven convenience stores throughout Hong Kong. The
promotion announcement was made today by Kirk Bloomgarden, Senior Vice
President, International Licensing, Saban Brands.
“We’re pleased to partner with promotional agency TCC and 7-Eleven in
bringing the distinctly popular Julius character to consumers in Hong
Kong,” said Bloomgarden. “The collectable Julius plush convey the fun
and humor that is intrinsic in Paul Frank branded products and provides a
wonderful introduction to the brand’s retail offering. 7-Eleven is a
great partner for us in this region as it is a popular stop for young
adults, our core target.”
The nine week Paul Frank promotion kicked off in Hong Kong’s 7-Eleven
stores on September 21 and will continue through November 22, 2011. The
promotion will provide customers with the opportunity to earn a Paul
Frank stamp with every purchase from the stores, up to HKD20. During
Phase 1 of the promotion, every 15 stamps collected can be redeemed for
one of five Julius Plush designs, including the original Julius, Brainy,
Super Hero, Punk and 9 to 5 Julius figures.
During Phase 2 of the promotion, every 7 stamps collected can be
redeemed with HKD18 for any of the plush designs from Phase 1 and an
additional four designs that include Wild West, Pirate, Vampire and
Devil Julius, just in time for Halloween. Customers can also earn a
specially designed hanger to display the collection of all nine Paul
Frank plush designs. Customers will also be able to access and download
Paul Frank digital wallpaper for each of the nine Julius characters
featured in the promotion.
7-Eleven stores in Hong Kong are projected to distribute over 1 million
pieces during the nine week event. 7-Eleven stores are also using
special in-store displays and posters to promote the Paul Frank
promotion and are also advertising the promotion on billboards, public
trains, outdoor and social media.
Saban Brands opened the doors to its flagship Paul Frank store in China
at the Joy City Mall in Xidan, Beijing on September 9, 2011. The Grand
Opening of the Paul Frank Store Beijing included a fashion show and
musical celebration for customers.

Frank Stores throughout China over the next five years. To date, Saban
