Rayman Raving Rabids series to premiere on Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon, the most popular network for children’s television program, has signed a deal with Ubisoft to air their upcoming CG series adaptation of the Rayman Raving Rabbids games

The show will air on the network worldwide except for in France, because like the French do, they control their broadcasting viaFrance Televisions.

CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures said the following regarding the partnership “As the world’s most recognized entertainment brand for children and families, Nickelodeon is the perfect vehicle to share the zany Rabbids characters and their crazy adventures with television audiences around the globe. This partnership represents a major milestone in Ubisoft’s strategy to expand its brands to new media, thereby attracting new audiences to its games.”

Ubisoft is scheduled to produce 26 half-hour episodes, with each containing three seven-minute shorts. The episodes will begin airing in early 2013, that is, as long as they don’t turn out like that godawful Penguins of Madagascar show.
