RSPCA and Special Editions get ready for Christmas 2012!
Leading animal welfare charity the RSPCA has announced the development
with Special Editions of a range of RSPCA cards for Christmas 2012
The range continues the Society’s successful seasonal charity cards
partnership with Special Editions, a partnership now in its second
decade. Special Editions will also highlight the RSPCA in its 2012
catalogue, with a special page devoted to the Society’s work.
Special Editions is the Charity Christmas division of UK Greetings,
the UK’s market-leading direct-to-retail publisher and manufacturer of
greetings cards and associated social expression products.
The
2012 cards are due to launch this December and will be promoted at
Spring Fair and to retail prior to in-store launch from August 2012
onwards. Stockists of the RSPCA range will include department stores
such as John Lewis, Fenwick, Beale's, Harrods and House of Fraser, as
well as high street and independent card and gift shops, garden centres,
and a number of online outlets.
The cards will be available in a
variety of formats, from boxed, hand-finished cards and bumper packs
through to single design cello packs. The wide range of designs includes
traditional, photographic, contemporary and religious images. The back
of each card will contain an RSPCA logo and a message highlighting the
work the RSPCA does rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming injured, sick
or neglected animals. Each card pack will also contain a special slip
thanking the customer for helping the charity.
RSPCA trading
manager Cathy Snow says: “Special Editions has supported the RSPCA
through seasonal card sales for many years, providing a significant
annual contribution that allows us to continue helping animals in
England and Wales. Our enhanced and expanded licensing campaign, which
will boost the RSPCA name in the marketplace, will ensure that this
agreement with a long-term trusted partner goes from strength to
strength.”
The continuing success of this partnership is another
significant boost to the RSPCA’s seasonal promotions and its
fast-growing licensing campaign. The campaign should see the charity
make strong inroads as a trusted and high quality brand into a number of
categories. The RSPCA, alongside licensing consultancy company JELC
Ltd, which is working with the RSPCA campaign on a consultancy basis, is
looking at deals in such areas as apparel, giftware, housewares,
stationery, publishing, pet food, wild animal food and pet accessories.
Beth
Keown Business Development Manager, Special Editions adds: "A
partnership of more than ten years with the RSPCA is certainly something
to celebrate — and our 2012 catalogue will do just that, with a special
page devoted to the work and importance of the Society. We are
delighted to be working again with such a respected and widely
recognised organisation."
