Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Copyright Promotions Licensing Group announced today that CPLG has been appointed to act as the WBCP licensing representatives in Benelux, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, enabling WBCP to bring legendary WB characters to the European market in an expanded array of property and product lines.

Under the terms of the agreement CPLG will license classic and beloved properties including Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, and ThunderCats; DC Entertainment properties Batman, Superman and Green Lantern; as well as new theatrical releases such as the two highly anticipated films, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again, being directed by Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson.

“This partnership reflects our enthusiasm for leveraging our already renowned properties, as well as our exciting upcoming content, across the Benelux territories,” said Pilar Zulueta, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA. “Fans everywhere will be thrilled with the multitude of incredible property offerings which will come as a result of our alliance with CPLG.”

“We are delighted to work with the classic Warner Bros. properties which are so iconic around the world,” said Chris Protheroe, President and Group Managing Director, Copyright Promotions Licensing Group. “There is no doubt that the portfolio provides our licensees and promotional partners in Benelux with exciting opportunities for the coming years.”

The agreement covers all properties owned or controlled and actively licensed by WBCP.  Operationally, CPLG Benelux will work closely with the WBCP office in France.
