Where's Wally? popping up at retailers across the UK
Momentum continues to build as consumer products programme expands to 29 licensees leading up to the brand’s 25th Anniversary in 2012
Classic Media, a global media company with a portfolio of some of the
world’s leading family entertainment brands, today announced that it has
expanded the line of Where’s Wally?® consumer products in the UK across
many key categories in advance of the brand’s 25th Anniversary
celebrations commencing Autumn 2012. The elusive world traveller and
pop-culture icon has leapt off the pages of the books and with 4.6
million Apps sold on iPhone and iPad, you never know where he will pop
up next!
New lines will be available from Gemma (stationery products and gift wrap) and Paper Projects (stickers) and a new apparel range will also be available from Smith & Brooks (children’s apparel for boys and girls including daywear, swimwear, nightwear, underwear and footwear), dress-up for kids of all ages from Smiffy’s (costumes for kids and adults) and Mask-arade (kids character masks).
For fans on the go, Little Star Creations will produce audio accessories including headphones, iPod skins, laptop skins, mp3 cases, and Nintendo DS cases.
In addition to these categories, Where’s Wally? will expand into several new areas, including homewares, with the first line available from Character World Limited (bedding and home accessories) and toiletries from SERT-MST PLC for 2012 (shaving kits, hair products, travel tissues, soaps and fragrance). Trans-Continental will introduce Wally to new outdoor adventures with the brand’s first line of camping equipment and tents.
Several partners will ignite some fun during the party season, with Talking Tables (Partywear), Senoble UK Limited (Where’s Wally? cakes) and Kinnerton (Advent calendar and Easter kits).

The consumer products programme will be created using the new Where’s Wally? style guide and join successful ranges from Somerbond, 2011 Licensing Award Winner ‘Best Licensed Adults Apparel Range’ with their underwear and nightwear for Next and Woodmansterne, Licensing Award finalist ‘Best Licensed Paper Products or Stationery’ with their greetings cards, including special occasion cards, and age-specific birthday cards for children and adults, which have sold more than 1 million cards in the UK to date.
