Peppa Pig touches down in Espana!

Entertainment One has announced a broadcast and licensing deal for its hot property, Peppa Pig, in Spain.

The show will be broadcast on RTVE and will be supported by advertising campaigns, a website and a magazine.

“We’re delighted to be adding Peppa Pig to RTVE’s schedule of children’s programmes.  It is a high quality show which compliments our current line-up of shows perfectly and I’m sure that it will entertain our existing audience and attract new children and families to our channel.” says Rafael Bardem, Director of Programmes, Sales & Licensing at RTVE.

In a strategic move by the studio, Peppa Pig licensed merchandise will start rolling out in Spain in August 2012 allowing Spanish children, their parents and retailers 12 months to become familiar with the characters and the unique style of the series.
