Pay A Visit to Toot Town as Little Airplane Launch Latest Project at MIP Jr

Little Airplane Productions, one of the most trusted names in preschool television, has announced details of its latest project Toot Town, a unique, new 52 x 11’ live action series with no dialogue, which will be pitched to Broadcasters at MIP Jr.

Created by ten time Emmy Award winner Josh Selig, Toot Town is a musical world where people and vehicles are one.  Drawing inspiration from both modern dance and Commedia dell'arte, the characters on Toot Town express themselves entirely through music, movement and sounds.  There is no language, narration or text on screen in this series.

All choreography and dance on the series will be overseen by internationally acclaimed modern dance company, Pilobolus.

"This show is specifically designed to travel internationally," says Little Airplane Productions’ president Josh Selig, "We are telling universal stories to preschoolers using the two languages which we know all children understand and enjoy:  Music and Dance."

The curriculum for the series was written by Dr. Laura G. Brown (Wonder Pets, 3rd & Bird) and it focuses on Music, Movement and Dance as well as Problem Solving and Coping Skills.

Among the residents of the lovely and stylized world of Toot Town are, Buck the Truck, Lane the Plane, Mac the Tractor and Mona Cycle.  Each episode features six distinct scenes involving problems that the vehicles must come together to solve.  The episodes are unified around a single theme such as Rain, Art, Shapes or Food.  The music for the series will be produced by the Emmy-award winning musical team at Little Airplane Productions.

Toot Town is created and directed by Josh Selig, creator of The Wonder Pets, 3rd & Bird and Small Potatoes.
