Thor booms onto our screen

Marvel comic's God of Thunder, Thor, makes some noise as he makes his home entertainment debut this week.

The film adaptation of the Marvel comics character, directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Chris Hemsworth, has been released on DVD by Paramount pictures.

Thor tells the story of the godling's exile from grace for brashly bringing the threat of war to Asgard after a centuries long peace dearly brokered with the Frost Giants. The story from J. Michael Straczynski and Mark Protosevich is a magnificent homage to the comic book series, delivering a cosmic-level superhero who is both relatable and admirable.

This three-disc release includes a Blu-ray of the feature presentation in 3D. The release also includes a DVD version of the feature presentation, with the same disc delivering the digital copy of the film for transport on your Windows or Mac enabled video devices.
